The number of home sales in the Indianapolis area dropped 14.1 percent in July from the same period a year ago, falling to 2,756. The Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors reports the median price of a house in the 13-county area rose 1.1 percent to $131,950. In the prior 12-month period, the median price rose 3.3 percent.
